Toddler Program

This program is an optional program that allows for lower teacher to student ratios as the standard preschool.

In our program for toddlers, our teachers understand that children learn with their whole body. They learn more by doing rather than by being told. Toddlers learn on a physical level. Through activities at the center we nurture these physical skills which play a large role in a toddler’s daily routine.

In planning for toddler’s daily schedule, our teachers are trained to be flexible and creative. Toddlers need to explore and try new things. During the toddler stage in a child’s growth, the child experiences a whole new world of senses and emotions. These experiences provide the basic structure in the child’s developmental process.

We believe providing routine and consistency is an important part of their development. We also provide a stimulating classroom environment with material for the children to engage in imaginative play and art to promote creative exploration, and manipulative coordination in developing cognitive and physical skills. We also introduce baby sign language to our children.

We believe this is a good way to allow children to communicate with others. Our toddler’s learn shapes, colors, and daily concepts, such as animal sounds and foods.

Our teachers create and adapt the environment and activities to meet the children’s changing needs on a day to day basis. We feel constant change in daily activities helps to satisfy their needs for exploration, challenge, and the need to learn during the important toddler period. ur teachers recognize the importance of these needs and provide tools and guidance to help the children find these skills.
